The tour which Mihaela gave us was beyond our expectations. Trip Tours is new in Madrid but today’s guide amazed us with her knowledge ,thoroughness and clear explanations in good and intelligible English. Fortunately ,we booked this tour on the eve of our departure because I now realise that the tour which we took a few days ago with another company told us only a fifth of Madrid’s wonderful buildings and people who had marked their history …. At the end of the 2 1/4 hours , Mihaela even did a recap of our visit, showed us the itinerary that we followed and gave us a map! It can’t get better than that. There were about 7 of us in the group and the tour was almost a private one. Lastly, thanks to Trip Tours, we went inside the most ancient restaurant,Botin and a Flamego bar where we could go on stage for photos . So, five stars to this young but most promising company and heartfelt thanks to Mihaela.

Do you believe in love at first sight? You would if you have done the tour with Mihaela. Me and my husband were lucky enough to have her for our guide. We simply couldn’t imagine anyone being more knowledgeable, informative and fun than her. She was just amazing, had detailed answers to all the questions we asked and was full of recommendations for places to go see, visit or eat in. Thanks you Mihaela for this amazing experience!

We really lucked out with this tour! There were only four of us in this group so we got to see more and hear more from Roberto, our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Madrid’s history and it was an amazing way to learn more about the city. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great tour!

Perfect tours for people who (A) like walking and (B) are new to Madrid. Had a tour of the old city with Roberto in the morning, and I was thoroughly impressed by how informational and exciting the tour was; I toured again in the afternoon with Ignacio and would say the same thing. 5/5 Would do it again.

Today I joined the free walking tour of Madrid. Our guide was Mihaela , she was amazing. A very knowledgeable guide, made all the history of the city extremely interesting. Mihaela took us to places that we would not have found ourselves, for example restaurant Botín where we were able to enter and see the wine cellar and the oven and then into La taberna de mister pinkleton where they hold nightly flamenco shows. All in all one of the best walking tours I have ever taken. Highly recommended especially with Mihaela whose English is excellent

We had a super nice start of our city trip by having the basic tour. Mihaela shared a lot about the history and funny facts. We were only with a group of four so it was like i was walking and talking with a group of friends. I think we spend 2,5 hours together as mihaela knows a lot and wanted to tell so much. But it never was boring because of the enthousiastic way she tells things! I would definitely book a tour again with the yellow umbrella:)

We had a 2 hour walking tour with Roberto today (English). He was terrific. We had a small group, so he was able to take us inside places that larger groups normally couldn’t do. He was very attentive and answered all our questions, took pictures of the group and gave us great tips for other places to go. Definitely worth the time! Here is a picture of Roberto in front of the World’s Oldest Continuously Operating restaurant, Sabrino de Botin.

To: The strangers on the world wide web, friends and friends to be, people who are interested in the history of madrid and are swift on their feet, and of course Roberto. We were advocates of free walking tours before and oh boy, this tour took it to the next level. We met at Plaza del Sol and were, admittedly, a little bit hungover, but were immediately cured by the warm and hartley nature of our tour guide Roberto (don’t let him talk nonsense to you, the best explanation as to why the name of the place is related to the sun is his smile). We took of in the direction of Plaza de Major and were already impressed by his enthusiasm and knowledge about Madrid as he “choked us” 😉 (showed, his accent gave us a good laugh there) the, apparently, controversial history of this once cruel place. But I shouldn’t get carried away, you’ll experience the route of the tour for yourself and he told us that he often mixes things up a bit, so it’s always a unique adventure. As a really unexpected part of the tour, connections, connections, connections, we had access to the world’s oldest restaurant and stepped in a universe of dance, passion and erotic as we were swept away at an original flamenco bar. After a myriad of tips what to do and where to go you will definitely still remember the important facts and if not, his response time is as quick as lightning. Would recommend a 1000%. Cheers, from Austria

What an incredible free walking tour I had yesterday. We were a small group of 5 people and the 2.5 hour long tour flew with the time. Robato is absolutely outstanding throughout. He delivered more than what he promised by taking us inside the oldest restaurant in the world and flamenco show room. He not only took some amazing pictures of us during the tour but also shared them with us at the end of the tour. It became easy to plan my day once he recommended on important places to visit and things to do in Madrid. It was a very informative tour and is undoubtedly one of the best things i did in Madrid. I highly recommend it.

Mihaela from Trip Tours made our stay in Madrid. We arrived for a short stay with no specific plans. Luckily we started with a free tour and chose the yellow umbrella. Our guide, Mihaela, was great – knowledgable, enthusiastic, fun and full of great tips. We took the Madrid Essentials walking tour with triptoursmadrid, with Mihaela as our guide. She was absolutely fantastic. She is knowledgeable and enthusiastic and, not unimportant, speak English very well. In an hour or two you learn so much about Madrid in a very relaxing way. Much better than walking around reading in a booklet or reading up on Wikipedia sites. We’ve taken similar tours in various cities and most of the times it’s been absolutely great. Please don’t be stinky when it comes to “tipping”. These people should be able to make a living off of this, in my view, if they do a good job.

Booked the Madrid Essential Free Walking Tour, and it was the best out of all the tours i’ve made around Europe. The website doesn’t provide that much information about the itinerary but ended up booking it. MIKAELA was informative, insightful, bubbly, warm, and knowledgeable! The trip lasted 2.5H and it was all worth it, didn’t even notice time fly by.
