Free tours in Madrid are guided walking tours with no fixed price, based on a partnership between the company and the visitor. You book for free and, at the end of the route, you decide how much to give your guide based on how much you enjoyed it; the usual contribution in Madrid is between 15€ and 20€ per person. We recommend booking your spot so the guide is confirmed for the route, time and day you have chosen.

Our commitment to quality. Our guides are trained and prepared to show you the city in the most complete and entertaining way possible. We can also help you book trips elsewhere in Spain, to cities such as Toledo and Segovia, and recommend the best places to go.

All our guided tours run in Spanish. Our core Madrid tours (Madrid Essentials, Madrid Monumental and the Prado Museum) also run in English, along with our Haunted Madrid and Medieval Madrid tours. We can also arrange private tours in other languages.

Depending on the day, we run different schedules that work together, so you can do up to 3 different tours in one day. For example: Madrid Essentials in the morning, the Prado Museum in the early afternoon and Haunted Madrid in the evening.

We recommend booking beforehand and arriving on time at the meeting point. That said, you can join a tour that has already begun as long as it is still in its early stages.

At Puerta del Sol in Madrid, next to the statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree (our city's emblem). Look for us with our bright yellow umbrellas. You'll see the meeting point when you book your tour.

All the tours last approximately 2 hours. Our core tours (Madrid Essentials, Madrid Monumental and the Prado Museum) can run slightly longer, as they are very comprehensive.

Each free tour ends in a different place, as our guides adapt the route to their own expertise and to the group's interests. If you have any questions about the stops, just ask your guide at the start or the end of the tour.

Our tours do not include or require paid admission anywhere. Our Prado Museum tour runs during the museum's free-entry hours.

Yes, the tours run even in bad weather. We recommend coming prepared (umbrella, suitable footwear, sun cream and so on). If the weather makes the tour completely impossible, we will cancel it as soon as we can.

Yes, our free tours run on public holidays. On any day when circumstances beyond our control mean we cannot run a tour, bookings will not be available through the website.

Of course. Our guides know how to adapt the tour for younger visitors without taking anything away from the adults.

All our tours can be done in a wheelchair or with a pushchair. For the Prado Museum free tour, please let us know in advance, as it affects which entrance we use.

Yes. For groups of more than 10 people we require an advance booking so we can assign you a dedicated guide, as our free tours are designed for small groups.

It isn't essential, but it is highly recommended: it tells us how many people are coming and how many guides we need. Without a booking, the guide may not be notified and may not come to the meeting point.

You can book as far in advance as you like; we recommend checking our calendar to confirm availability.

Yes. You can change or cancel your booking whenever you like by sending us an email or a WhatsApp, or by calling us. We just ask that you do it as far in advance as possible.

We don't share your information with anyone. We ask for your details to confirm the free tour and to contact you if anything comes up. We delete your details from our database 7 calendar days after the tour.

The tour is probably fully booked. Occasionally there are system errors outside our control; if you can't book, email us, send us a WhatsApp or call us and we'll confirm it for you.

You're under no obligation at all. But hearing about your experience is enormously useful, both for us and for future visitors: it helps us improve, and a positive review helps others find us.
