Business model and recipients of the data

Trip Tours Madrid provides two types of service, with different data processing in each case:

  • Free tours and private tours: these are Trip Tours Madrid's own services, provided by our guides. They are not affiliate products, and we process the data of these bookings directly.
  • Excursions (Toledo, Segovia, Ávila, Chinchón/Aranjuez, El Escorial) and sightseeing buses (Big Bus): these are affiliate products. Trip Tours Madrid acts as an affiliate distributor and the customer contracts the service directly with the operator, who provides it.

When you book an excursion or a sightseeing bus, your data is transmitted to the corresponding operator so that it can provide the service:

  • The Yellow Tours (Yellow Tours Madrid), C. de San Bernardo 5, Local 13, 28013 Madrid.
  • Big Bus Tours Madrid, Paseo del Prado, 28014 Madrid.
  • Ventrata: the technology platform that integrates these operators' products and manages the bookings for excursions and buses.

For our own free tour bookings we use the Donicus platform. In addition, we rely on the following data processors, which process data on behalf of Trip Tours Madrid under contract:

  • Donicus: booking management platform for the free tours.
  • Google (Google Ireland Ltd.): web analytics, Maps and Places.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): measurement pixel for campaign optimisation.
  • Vercel: website hosting.
  • SMTP email provider used to send communications.
  • TTM-OS: Trip Tours Madrid's own internal management system, which supports booking operations and customer service.

We will not transfer your data to third parties for our own commercial purposes, nor will we sell it.

International transfers

Some of our providers (Google, Meta and Vercel) may process data outside the European Economic Area, on servers in the United States. In all cases, these providers have adequate safeguard mechanisms under the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions of the European Commission.

Data retention

We keep your data for the following periods:

  • Data from completed bookings: up to 5 years from the provision of the service, due to tax and consumer obligations.
  • Data from enquiries that do not result in a booking: up to 12 months from the last contact.
